Gender – how brands can adapt to changing attitudes

From the music industry to social media influencers, the issue of gender is being challenged.

From the music industry to social media influencers, the issue of gender is being challenged from the perspective of identity and self expression, presenting challenges for brand in personal care and beauty. As consumers question stereotypical male and female brand language, particularly in skincare and cosmetics, new brands, role models and commentators are coming forward. Developed from feedback and further research from our 2017 report on Male GroomingGender Fluid, our new mini report explores these opportunities and talks to those involved in this innovative area. To read a copy of the report, please email louise@twobytwo.co.uk and we’ll send you a copy when it’s released in early October.

This initiative is part of Two by Two’s community of beauty experts and commentators: The Beauty Collaborative, where we ask two questions, twice a year (the Two by Two part!) and share the insights from the issue through a LinkedIn group. To take part, please get in touch.
