3 Highlights from Professional Beauty 2019
Two by Two’s Sav Cicero reports from this year’s Professional Beauty show

At London’s ExCel, the 2019 Professional Beauty show hosted over 800 brands, showcasing both established and newer, boutique brands across the beauty spectrum. From product-specific innovation in areas such as skincare, nails and lashes, there were also ‘high impact’ stages for leading names in beautycare, some of whom are long-term Two by Two clients.
One example is iiaa , a UK-based company celebrating 25 years in the industry. Congratulations to David and the team! Two by Two is proud to have been working with iiaa for many years, creating their Professional Beauty exhibition stand (the largest stand at this show) and designing for brands such as Advanced Nutritional Programme.
Biome Beauty

As well as promoting their ever popular existing brands, iiaa took the opportunity to showcase and launch their fantastic new product Skin Youth Biome – an innovative and unique combination of good bacteria and vitamin C. This groundbreaking blend not only helps to support a healthy gut, but also contributes to a smoother, more youthful looking complexion.
Lorraine Perretta, Head of Nutrition at the Advanced Nutrition Programme™, says: “New research has shown that our beneficial bacteria counteracts the intrinsic and extrinsic causes of ageing by reducing inflammation and fighting free radicals.”
From the sea

Voya have created a wonderful fragrance of the sea, which was so potent it stopped you in your tracks! A relatively young company of just 12 years, Voya manufactures genuinely organic, seaweed-based products for spa treatments. The brand offers luxury results-driven products based on the highest-quality botanical ingredients and aromatherapy oils, combining the purest ingredients with ancient traditions and sustainable processes. Definitely one to watch.
Skin Food

Elemis is one of our most longstanding clients – 23 years and counting. At this year’s show, they launched a new range in the Superfood Skincare range, including a Superfood Facial Wash, Superfood Day Cream, Superfood Night Cream and the Superfood Facial Oil – all featuring probiotics and extracts from greens, grains and superfoods. The range taps into the probiotic trend in skincare, which uses good bacteria as part of a skincare routine to keep the skin healthy.
With skincare that’s good enough to eat, it was intriguing to see the influence that the wider wellness trend is having on the beauty industry which, along with a greater focus on sustainability, feels progressive and moving in the right direction.
