Sssssh… it’s a secret

What has our own in-house genius Lee Challenor got in common with David Shrigley, Gilbert & George and Ai Wei Wei – to name but a few?

The highly confidential & classified answer is that one of his record sleeve designs was chosen and exhibited alongside these illustrious artists at the exclusive Secret 7″ exhibition in Shoreditch.

Secret 7″ is an enterprise that combines music and art for a good cause. They took seven tracks from seven of the best-known bands and artists around, pressing each of these tracks 100 times to vinyl and then getting creatives from around the world to interpret artwork in their own style for just one of them; resulting in a one-of-a-kind sleeve for each track. They then exhibited these for a week, and on Record Store Day (April 20) they were available for sale for £40 apiece.

The purchaser didn’t know who created the sleeve, or even which song it was for, until they had paid for it – the secret lies within.
